Onsite Technical Assistance
If you have a willow tree growing out of your aerator, your  community’s water system has a problem!
A wayward willow, deterioration of the interior and exterior of metal water treatment structures, and a faulty water pump are just some of the things Community Resource Group’s (CRG’s) water and wastewater services staff might note during an onsite visit to a community’s water facilities.
We work onsite with rural communities and small water and wastewater utilities providing assistance with:
- infrastructure rehabilitation,
- improvements, and/or expansion,
- operational problems,
- management (including financial management and rate structure analyses)
- training for managers, board members, decision makers, and other staff,
- access to credit, and
- compliance with federal and state health and environmental standards.
The community with the wayward willow had not neglected maintenance, but lacked the funds to make the necessary major repairs and improvements. CRG helped them define the severity of the water system problem and advance toward obtaining funding. As communities increase their capacity to solve problems, gain funding, and address future needs, they are able to insure their residents will have safe, and reliable, water and wastewater services.
