Welcome to the Community Resource Group

Manufactured Home Park Conversions

Imagine coming home one day and finding out you have to move – your home! Manufactured homes, although often called mobile homes or trailers, are not that mobile. They are expensive to move and, of course, you have to find somewhere else to go.

Nearly 3 million families in the United States live in homes they own that are situated in mobile home parks on leased land.

For many low-income residents who own homes situated in land-lease parks, this is a constant worry. Land increases in value, and park owners sell. Residents can’t afford to move their homes. Their homes have virtually no value as an investment.

On May 8, 2008, Community Resource Group was named one of 9 Certified Technical Assistance Providers (CTAP) in the new national affordable housing network, ROC USA™ Network

As a CTAP, CRG helps owners of manufactured homes buy and operate their communities, by providing technical assistance, training, and help accessing financing.

We feel this program benefits both the community owner and the residents. It allows the community owner to sell the property without having to remove residents from the land. And it gives residents peace of mind, knowing their homes sit on their own land.”
