About CRG

Community Resource Group, Inc. (CRG) is a multi-state rural development organization established in 1975 to provide opportunities for rural communities and low-income families to build assets and secure a better future. CRG works to meet the changing needs of communities by applying creative solutions to long-term problems. While focusing on the basics, water and wastewater services; affordable housing; manufactured home park ownership; and lending, CRG’s goal is to achieve much more than temporary solutions. When rural utilities are helped to supply safe, reliable water and wastewater to their communities, long-term assets are protected. When a low-income family owns an affordable, quality home, an asset is built. Building, and protecting, assets strengthens a community and moves a family from poverty toward a more stable future.

Headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Community Resource Group is incorporated as a private nonprofit corporation. Governed by a six-member Board of Directors, CRG serves a seven state region across the southern United States. This region includes the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.

CRG works to create asset-building opportunities for low-income families through:
• affordable new home construction,
• home improvement lending,
• resident ownership of manufactured home parks, and
• affordable home mortgage lending and origination.

Rural community infrastructure assets are protected through CRG’s:
• water and wastewater system onsite technical assistance,
• training and education programs for water system boards and
  staff,
• publication and dissemination of electronic and paper technical
  bulletins,
• lending to water systems for capital improvements, and
• loan leveraging and bond origination services.

Community Resource Group has a staff of more than 50 people situated throughout its seven-state service area. This staff adheres to the organization’s corporate values as they implement programs to help families and communities increase their income, build and protect assets, and move out of poverty.

Community Resource Group is headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas and currently serves the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
